Warehouse manager Peter starts the day by validating a number of received goods which will be stored in specific inventory locations. He does this by scanning the bar codes on the received goods and the inventory numbers are updated immediately.

Peter has a number of put-away assignments. That means that he is working with the goods that need to be stored in the inventory. When the goods has been moved to the correct spot, Peter counts the goods in the specific inventory position with the mobile unit. By scanning the bar codes Peter performs the task in a quick and efficient manner - and he is sure that the actual stock is correct.

Via his mobile unit, Peter is notified that it is time to move goods from the bulk inventory to the picking inventory. The stock in the picking inventory is below the accepted minimum limit and when this part of the inventory is supplied with goods again, Peter ensures a continuously efficient and flexible dispatch of orders.
Service van is loaded with goodsPeter now continues to another inventory location - the shipping area. Via his mobile unit Peter has been asked to gather a number of goods which will be dispatched from the inventory in one of the companys service vans later in the day.
Count in service vanPeter uses his mobile unit to scan the bar codes of all the goods that have been loaded unto the van. He also needs to make a physical count in the service van.
Quarantine goodsWhen Peter scans the bar codes on the goods in the service van, he also removes some used equipment from the service van. This equipment will be moved to the quarantine area in the inventory where it will be examined closely.
